Titans Defeat Sabercats for Second Win in a Row

In what came out to be a grinder, hard-nosed football game, the MinnDak Titans defeated the Twin Cities Sabercats for their second consecutive win of the season, and their first-ever win at East Grand Forks Senior High School Football Field.

The Titans seemed to control the field and the clock for the majority of the game, spent a considerable time in the Sabercats’ redzone, but a number of costly turnovers kept the score 8-8 for much of the day.

The Titans really began to push successfully in the final five minutes of the game, capitalizing on Sabercats mistakes with a number of strikes from QB Trevor Taylor and steady running by D’Von Vanderbilt.

The Titans are now 2-3 for the season, with the next game on June 26th at home versus their I-29 rivals, the Fargo Invaders at 3PM. The theme will be Veterans Appreciation Day; veterans and active-duty service men and women will receive free admission.

In the meantime, there is a fundraiser at Appleebees in Grand Forks on Tuesday, June 22nd from 5pm to 10pm for anyone interested in supporting the team, which is a 501c3 Nonprofit. Just mention the Titans and 20% of your bill will go to the group.
